On March 26-28, 2010 the Dark Carnival Film Festival and Horrorhound Weekend presented an historic event - the World's Largest Gathering of Horror Hosts ever! Nearly 100 creatures of the night descended upon Indianapolis, Indiana to pay homage to the first of their kind.

Dark Carnival and Horrorhound Weekend premiered a one of a kind memorial tribute created by horror hosts in honor of the Queen Goddess of Horror Hosting: VAMPIRA!
Hosts from all over the planet gathered to celebratie the life and work of Maila Nurmi and the legacy she left behind. Among the special guests were some true legends, including Count Gore De Vol, Joe Bob Briggs, Son of Ghoul, Dr. Shocker (Dan Roebuck) and many more. Fans were able to meet their favorites in Horror Host Alley, and at special events trhoughout the weekend.
DID YOU MISS IT? The Official Vampira Tribute was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event, with more than 6000 fans in attendance. If you weren't among them (or even if you were), don't be scared, 'cause we've got the next best thing to actually being there.
The folks at Dark Carnival dispatched filmmakers to cover the event from top to bottom, the entire weekend. Incuded in the footage are exciting moments from HorrorHound Weekend and HorrorHost Alley, exclusive interviews with dozens of visiting horror hosts, and all the awesome Vampira Tribute events - including some not open to the public that you'll only see here!
